Collaboration is a Verb: Re-imagining Education as Community Engagement
Education is not a passive act. It is a verb—charged with energy and action and mindfulness. It is a collaborative act, one that depends on the quality of the engagement and relationship between children, their families, educators, and their communities. In this keynote address, Patti will outline six core practices for collaboration in education and learning that will help us re-imagine our roles as educators. She is a masterful Southern storyteller whose message will remain with you long after the conference is over. Come prepared to laugh, and cry, and take action.

You Matter More Than Ever: Early Childhood Education in a Changing World

Yet who we are as an early childhood profession -- what we know and can give to children, families, and society -- is needed in these times. Early childhood educators have a unique, compassionate, and informed view of childhood that we must hold onto and advocate for.
