Make a difference to homeless children in the Long Beach area!
Because we wish to leave a positive impact on children and families in the Long Beach area, we encourage CAEYC members and conference attendees to bring one new item listed below to the CAEYC Conference to donate to the Children Today organization.
Children Today was founded in 1997 by two working mothers in Long Beach, California, after one of them saw a toddler wandering alone down a busy street, wearing only a diaper, his parents nowhere to be seen. It was this haunting image of homelessness – as well as its often overlooked impact on children – that inspired the creation of Children Today.
Children Today now operates two comprehensive child development and child care centers for children experiencing homelessness from six weeks to six years of age. Here’s your chance to make a lasting impact on families in the Long Beach area!
