Nancy Carlsson-Paige is a professor of early childhood education at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she has educated teachers for more than 30 years. Since the mid 1980s, she has written and spoken extensively about the impact of violence--especially in the media--on children’s lives and their social development, and how children can learn to build caring, positive relationships in our world today. Ms. Carlsson-Paige has co-authored four books and written numerous articles on media violence, conflict resolution, peaceable classrooms and global education. Her most recent book is Taking Back Childhood: Helping Your Kids Thrive in a Fast-Paced, Media-Saturated, Violence-Filled World.
